I have been flying Emirates for the last 7 years and have been a Skywards Gold card holder since they introduced their program 3-4 years ago. In all this time, I had one bad incident which was with my mom flying over to visit whereby they didn't wanna let her on the plane cause she was 5kg's over and had problems paying them.
Apart from that, the service is superb, the hosties are the best, and you get friendliness by being friendly and respectfull yourself. Airline staff are normal people like you and me, so get of your frigging high horse. Just cause you can afford a plane ticket or you have a company that pays for you, doesn't mean that you own the airline!
All you complaining about service all the time, have you considered what the primary function of the Airline staff is? No? OK, their number 1 priority is to get your ass in one piece on the ground again. So give them respect, be friendly to them, and don't upset them, cause one day, your'e gonna upset some pilot or hostie that may just loose their concentration, make a fatal mistake, (as almost happened on the A340 from JNB to Dubai recently), and mess things up really bad.
Then let's see u complain!
Oh yes, one more thing. Kate, I think you are the coolest chic. Keep it up girl!
